Sony has released its first systems with Intel's 3rd Generation Core processors, which EmperorLinux offers pre-installed with full Linux support:

Still weighing just three pounds, the SilverComet S13 (Sony VAIO S13 Series) now offers up to a 2.9 GHz Core i7 Dual processor, a 13.3" LED screen running X@1600x900, up to 12 GB RAM, up to a 750 GB 7200 rpm hard drive, and internal dual-layer DVD+/-RW.

The full-sized Gazelle S15 (Sony VAIO S15 series) now offers up to a 2.1 GHz Core i7 Quad processor, 15.5" FHD LED screen with X@1920x1080, up to 12 GB RAM, up to 750 GB 7200 rpm hard drive or 256 GB SSD, and dual layer DVD+/-RW.

EmperorLinux Toucan Upgraded to W530 and T530

The Toucan W530 (IBM ThinkPad W Series) gets an upgrade! The addition of the W530 line brings the following options to the Toucan: Intel's 3rd generation i7 Quad Core processors at up to 2.9 GHz, a 15.6" FHD LED screen running X at up to 1920x1080 with NVidia Quadro K2000M graphics (384 CUDA cores), up to 32 GB RAM, up to 750 GB hard drive or 180 GB SSD, and more.

The Toucan T530 (IBM ThinkPad T Series) gets similar upgrades, including: Intel's 3rd generation i5 processors at up to 2.6 GHz, a 15.6" FHD LED screen running X at up to 1920x1080 with NVidia Quadro NVS 5400M graphics, up to 16 GB RAM, up to 750 GB hard drive or 180 GB SSD, and more.

EmperorLinux is proud to announce the Hornet H2 (Panasonic ToughBook CF-H2) ultra-rugged tablet/slate system. The Hornet H2 comes standard with: 1.7 GHz Core i5 processor, 10.1" XGA Dual-Touch Touchscreen running X@1024x768, 4 GB RAM, and a 128 GB SSD or 320 GB 7200 rpm drive. Full Linux support is provided for optional integrated options including GOBI 3000, GPS, fingerprint readers, and camera.

Like our larger rugged Linux laptops, the Hornet CF-H2 also meets MIL-STD-810G; it can withstand 2.0 meter drops, vibration, thermal stresses, and dust and water intrusion.

EmperorLinux Rhino Upgraded to M4600 and M6600

The Rhino gets an upgrade! The Dell Precision M4600 and M6600 series bring up to 2.5 GHz Core i7 Quad Core Extreme processors to the Rhino. The Rhino M6600 offers our largest 17.3" 1920x1080 FHD display with touchscreen, up to 32 GB RAM, the highest-performance NVidia 3-D graphics available on a laptop (Quadro 4000M, 2 GB, 336-core CUDA), and Blu-ray. The Rhino M4600 brings similar performance to the 15.6" size with 1920x1080 FHD, 16 GB RAM, and NVidia 2000M graphics.

The Rhino M6500 (last source of 17" WUXGA 1920x1200 LED LCDs) will remain available for a limited time.

EmperorLinux Introduces the Raven X201 Tablet

EmperorLinux introduces the Raven X201 tablet. This Raven is based on the recently released ThinkPad X201 tablet by Lenovo. As with the earlier Raven tablets, you get the full tablet experience in Linux: screen rotation, pressure sensitive pen, and text recognition.

Like the Raven laptop series, the Raven X201 tablet is configurable. It offers a 2.13 GHz Core i7 processor, 2-8 GB RAM, and a 250-500 GB hard drive (or 128 GB SSD), plus internal ethernet and WiFi. Traditional Raven X201 and X301 laptops are also available. The Raven X200 tablet will be available for a limited time.

EmperorLinux Introduces the Toucan W510 and T510

EmperorLinux announces the Toucan W510 and T510. Based on the ThinkPad W510 and T510 by Lenovo, these laptops bring Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and NVidia Quadro graphics to the Toucan line. Configurable options include up to a 15.6" LCD with 1920x1080 (FHD), up to a 500 GB hard drive, and up to 16 GB RAM.

The Toucan T400 will remain available.

EmperorLinux Introduces the Raven X201

EmperorLinux introduces the Raven X201. The Raven is based on the recently released ThinkPad X201 by Lenovo. New options introduced with the Raven X201 include Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and the ability to a add a TouchPad (an option shared by the larger Toucan and Raptor). The Raven also offers a 12.1" LCD with 1280x800 resolution, up to 8 GB RAM, and up to a 500 GB hard drive.

Also look for the Raven X201 tablet coming soon.

Raven X301 laptops (including a 13.3" 1440x900 LCD and internal DVD+/-RW in only 3 pounds) will continue to be available.
