  3. Jun 16th 2010 EmperorLinux Ant Upgraded
    The ultra-portable Ant (Panasonic ToughBook CF-U1) gets an upgrade! Like our larger rugged Linux laptops, the Ant CF-U1 also meets MIL-STD-810G; it can withstand 1.8 meter drops, vibration, thermal stresses, and dust and water intrusion. The Ant CF-U1 offers a 1.6 GHz Atom Z530 processor, 5.6" WSVGA 1024x600 Touchscreen, 2 GB RAM, and a 64 GB solid state drive, plus extras like onboard Gobi and GPS.
  4. Jun 14th 2010 EmperorLinux SilverComet and Gazelle Upgraded

    The SilverComet (Sony VAIO Z Series) gets an upgrade! Still weighing just three pounds, the SilverComet Z11 now offers up to a 2.66 GHz Core i7 processor, a 13" screen running X@1600x900, up to 8 GB RAM, up to a 512 GB solid state drive, and internal dual-layer DVD+/-RW.

    The Gazelle (Sony VAIO F series) gets an upgrade! The Gazelle F11 offers up to a 1.73 GHz Core i7 Quad processor, 16.4" LCD with X@1600x900, up to 8 GB RAM, up to 500 GB hard drive, and dual layer DVD+/-RW.

  5. May 30th 2010 EmperorLinux Tarantula Upgraded to CF-31 Series
    The Tarantula gets an upgrade! The Panasonic CF-31 series upgrades the construction to MIL-STD-810G, including resistance to 1.8 meter drops and IP65 water ingress protection. Configurable options now include up to a 2.53 GHz Core i5 processor, ATI Radeon graphics, up to 500 GB hard drive, up to 8 GB RAM, mobile broadband and onboard GPS. The Tarantula CF-30 will remain available for a limited time.
  6. May 24th 2010 EmperorLinux Tiger Upgraded to E6410 Series
    The Tiger gets an upgrade! The Dell Latitude E6410 series brings the latest hardware to the economical Tiger line. With prices starting around $1200, the Tiger E6410's features include: up to a 2.66 GHz Core i7 processor, 14.1" LCD with X@1440x900, 160-500 GB hard drive, up to 8 GB RAM, and DVD+/-RW.   7. May 12th 2010 EmperorLinux Raptor upgraded to W701 series
    The Raptor gets an upgrade! The ThinkPad W701 series by Lenovo continues to be a configurable, portable powerhouse. Upgrades include: up to a 2 GHz Core i7 Quad Extreme processor; two internal hard drives, up to 500 GB each; up to 16 GB RAM; and a 17" LCD at 1920x1200 with NVidia Quadro FX3800 graphics and 1 GB video RAM. Its most novel feature? The second, retractable screen.
  8. Mar 5th 2010 EmperorLinux Introduces the Raven X201 Tablet

    EmperorLinux introduces the Raven X201 tablet. This Raven is based on the recently released ThinkPad X201 tablet by Lenovo. As with the earlier Raven tablets, you get the full tablet experience in Linux: screen rotation, pressure sensitive pen, and text recognition.

    Like the Raven laptop series, the Raven X201 tablet is configurable. It offers a 2.13 GHz Core i7 processor, 2-8 GB RAM, and a 250-500 GB hard drive (or 128 GB SSD), plus internal ethernet and WiFi. Traditional Raven X201 and X301 laptops are also available. The Raven X200 tablet will be available for a limited time.

  9. Mar 4th 2010 EmperorLinux Introduces the Toucan W510 and T510

    EmperorLinux announces the Toucan W510 and T510. Based on the ThinkPad W510 and T510 by Lenovo, these laptops bring Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and NVidia Quadro graphics to the Toucan line. Configurable options include up to a 15.6" LCD with 1920x1080 (FHD), up to a 500 GB hard drive, and up to 16 GB RAM.

    The Toucan T400 will remain available.

  10. Mar 3rd 2010 EmperorLinux Introduces the Raven X201

    EmperorLinux introduces the Raven X201. The Raven is based on the recently released ThinkPad X201 by Lenovo. New options introduced with the Raven X201 include Intel's Core i5 and i7 processors and the ability to a add a TouchPad (an option shared by the larger Toucan and Raptor). The Raven also offers a 12.1" LCD with 1280x800 resolution, up to 8 GB RAM, and up to a 500 GB hard drive.

    Also look for the Raven X201 tablet coming soon.

    Raven X301 laptops (including a 13.3" 1440x900 LCD and internal DVD+/-RW in only 3 pounds) will continue to be available.
